Klang Bak Kut Teh Charity Festival returns, blending heritage, flavour and charity to support eight local charities homes in need. Klang, long celebrated as the birthplace of Bakut Teh, is preparing for another milestone celebration that unites food, culture, and compassion. On Sunday, 5 October 2025, Centro Mall Klang will host the 5th Centro Klang Bakuteh Charity Festival.
Bak Kut Teh is a famous Malaysian dish. This hearty soup is slow cooked with fragrant chinese herbs and spices, creating a rich, aromatic broth, a traditional favorite cherished across generations. While it is found across Malaysia, Klang is widely regarded as the birthplace and home of the best bakut teh, the version is more robust, intensely aromatic, and deeply rooted in tradition, many family run restaurants in Klang have perfected their secret recipes over generations, making it a must visit destination for authentic bak kut teh.
