In sharing the joy of Christmas celebration, under Air Selangor Community Investment initiative, Sesama Mara, Air Selangor extended donation and volunteer work to Grace Home Klang, a non profit NGO organization dedicated to support abused, neglected and homeless women, a safe and caring charitable charity Malaysia.
Through this initiative, they donated necessities such as kitchen items, food bank, basic furniture and household essentials. Aside from providing assistance and visiting our charity homes, a team of Hydro Heroes volunteers consisting of 11 Air Selangor employees also took part in cleaning and gardening our old folks house as well as decorating the charity shelter with ornaments. Additionally, the volunteers had the chance to celebrate the residents’ birthdays at the charity home.
Air Selangor Head of Corporate Communications, Elina Baseri said that by bringing joy and social works to the residents of this not for profits charity home, it is able to inspire as well as foster a spirit of togetherness and kindness among all parties. We hope to continue touching the lives of the various segments of society with charitable events and corporate social responsibility through Air Selangor Sesama Mara initiative. Part of this initiative, our Box of Hope program has benefited B40 families where a total of 6,775 Box of Hope, consisting of essentials food items have been distributed to these families in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya since it was introduced on 30 June 2020.
Air Selangor hopes the assistance that has been distributed will be able to bring joy while also strengthen the relationships among various segments of society, such as the local community, residents’ associations, local authorities and non-governmental organisations.
