The “RM3 Million Warmth Support Welfare Institutions” program was jointly organized by The Sin Chew Foundation (Yayasan Sin Chew), Sin Chew Daily, Fo Guang Shan and Fo Guang Association which was aimed to support the welfare organizations falling under the vulnerable groups.
The list of beneficiary groups were released, with a total of 296 welfare institutions applying for assisted funds including Persatuan Kebajikan Rumah Grace Klang Selangor Darul Ehsan.
The total amount of aid for this program was originally RM3 million, but as the number of applicants exceeded the record of previous years, the Sin Chew Foundation allocated another RM500,000, bringing the total to RM3.5 million to aid welfare agencies.
This remarkable program is open to welfare institutions facing financial difficulties. Selected institutions will receive assistance ranging from RM5,000 to RM30,000.
